Flick (aka Flickster the Flox, owner of Fursuit Yourself) is a fursuit maker and artist. As well as create suits and furry art, she also enjoys baking, petting dogs, hiking in the mountains, making Youtube videos, and active games.
She is the proud pet mom of Hannah, a golden retriever mix who is extremely food motivated, and Sunny, a bearded dragon who couldn't care less about food but loves to snuggle.
How she started fursuit making
While researching how to make a werewolf costume on Halloween, she came across a video of a fursuit. The video caught her interest, and she decided she wanted one. Since the high cost made it difficult to buy one, she decided to make by herself.
The first one was just a cardboard shape with fabric stretched over it, which was supposed to be a husky but looked more like a flowered alligator... But she didn't give up. With improved materials and a bunch of tutorials watched, she continued making the heads.
Over the course of a few years, Flick has made and sold over 70 good quality, originally designed fursuit heads, and has gotten thousands of subscribers on her Youtube channel.
Youtube
For Flick, Youtube is more of a way to save memories and document her progress than a way to gain fame and money. The fact that she has thousands of subscribers and has successfully monetized her channel is just an added bonus.
